When taking a graphic from a website, you can save it to your computer and then upload it to Facebook!
It is extremely easy to take a picture that you see on a website and simply "take it" and make it your own. It is highly ILLEGAL to do so as there are copyright laws against it, but it is like going 56MPH in a 55MPH zone "everyone does it." I am telling you how to take MY photo's so it's not as if I am telling you how to break into any security area or do anything. If you are a friend of mine, you can take my photo's with my permission and put them on Facebook. I have created a few graphics on how to go about doing just that.
First
You need to be using Microsoft Windows XP or Microsoft Windows Vista or Microsoft Windows 7, and using Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, 7, or 8. I am on Microsoft Windows 7 and I am using Internet Explorer 8 (you do NOT need to use these, but that is where all the graphics are coming from, so if your images do not look exactly the same, that is why).
Right Click on a graphic (1) and then click on the words to (2) Save Picture As...
You will be asked WHERE to save the graphic. Put it where you would like. I am going to put it on the desktop for this demonstration.
Once on my desktop (or wherever I put it) I Right Clikc on it and I have some options.
Please go to http://www.facebook.com/ and log on (and or create an account if you have not already) and then go to (1) Home, and then to Photos (2).
Click on the Upload Photos button.
Once in Photos click on Upload a Photo (if you want to upload ONE graphic).
You want to Browse... to find the graphic as the computer does NOT know where you have your photo.
Choose the File to Upload, by clicking on the file / photo / image / picture that you want to present to the world on Facebook, the word "open" is a bit misleading, but it is opening it to the program.
You have now told the computer where you have the graphic and you are uploading the graphic. PLEASE be patient, it might take a minute or two as upload (giving the graphic / file / image / picture / photo) to Facebook might not be as fast as downloading (or getting the item). You should be done, if you hit Refresh or F5 on your computer, and if you don't see your graphic, you might need to start this process over again.
You should be done!
